BISPA at the BESA National Conference and Awards

BISPA (Building and Industrial Services Pipework Academy) recently attended the BESA (Building Engineering Services Association) National Conference at the Milennium Gloucester Hotel in London. The conference included in-depth technical education sessions and panel discussions offering valuable insight and best practices in building services.

BISPA were on hand to offer technical support and advice regarding pipework and specification challenges being faced by the industry.

Our standalone Virtual Reality (VR) headsets also proved to be a big hit on the day. Using the VR units, delegates were able to experience first-hand examples of the interactive pipework training and other CPD courses that BISPA is able to offer from one of our training centers around the UK.

The evening award ceremony also proved to be eventful for BISPA with our very own Dr. Chris being awarded the “Specialist Group Award for Excellence” for his hard work and dedication to the Building Services industry.

‘It was a real honour to be given this award. It is so important that BISPA and the industry works together to address issues associated with legacy standards, the risk of inferior tube products and problems as a result of not fully understanding the issues with mix metal pipework systems”. It was very encouraging to see so many young faces at the event. Said Chris, he went on to say “This is a great industry to work in, with lots of opportunities, so it’s important that we continue to attract and educate new engineers. Finally, I would like to thank BESA for their award and for the great work they do”.
